# Cancel action added for blocked documents

Approval now supports **Cancel directly** for blocked documents.

Users with both System Administrator and Approver roles for the relevant document type can cancel a blocked document in addition to approve directly or reject directly.

When cancelled, the document is returned to the originating service and no further approvers are involved.
