# Mandatory cost unit type selection added

To ensure correct registration, administrators can now define that certain cost unit must be mandatory in Expense.

A new field **Mandatory for employees to select**, has been added to the cost unit type. When this option is selected, employees will be required to choose a cost unit before they can save and send for approval.
