# Export template as PDF or Excel

> Open the template, run the report, and select Download as PDF or Excel

## Exporting a template as Excel

1. Open the report template using one of these methods:

    - Select the template, and click on the report you want to run.
    - Click on the template card. (Thumbnail view)
2. Select parameters and click ![](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/onestopreporting/reporting/reports/export-template-to-excel-or-pdf/img/no/btn_report_play.png) **Run**.
3. Click the **Export to Excel** button in the top right corner.
4. Choose whether to open or save the Excel file.

## Exporting a template as PDF

1. Open the report template using one of these methods:

    - Select the template, and click on the report you want to run.
    - Click on the template card. (Thumbnail view)
2. Select parameters and click ![](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/onestopreporting/reporting/reports/export-template-to-excel-or-pdf/img/no/btn_report_play.png) **Run**.
3. Click the **three dots (...)** button in the top right corner and select **Download as PDF** from the drop-down menu.
4. Choose whether to open or save the PDF file.
