Preparations in Altinn

This must be in place in Altinn first

Before you can start using the new solution and establish system accesses in Periode & År, the accounting firm must ensure that the following internal access packages and overviews are clarified in Altinn:

• Identify your Hovedadministrator: Clarify who within your firm holds the Hovedadministrator access package for the accounting firm in Altinn. Only individuals with this access package (or the Tilgangsstyrer package) have the authority to set up the overall system access for the firm’s clients, or alternatively delegate these accesses further to colleagues who will be performing the tasks.

• Check registered vs. manual clients: Obtain an overview of which clients you are already registered for as an accountant or auditor in the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (Enhetsregisteret / Brønnøysundregistrene). For these clients, the correct access packages will often be triggered automatically. For clients where you are not registered in Enhetsregisteret, the client must manually delegate the access packages to you inside Altinn before they become available.

Setting up the main system access in Period & Year

Once the internal accesses are in place, you can create the overall system access between the accounting firm and Periode & År. This step is performed directly within Periode & År under My Accounting Firm (Mitt regnskapsbyrå) > Altinn System Access (Altinn-systemtilgang). Through this access, Periode & År receives authorization to resolve tasks on behalf of the accounting firm’s clients.

The following four access packages are available:

• Regnskapsfører med signeringsrettighet (Accountant with signing rights)
• Ansvarlig revisor (Responsible auditor)
• Skattegrunnlag (Tax basis)
• A-ordningen (The A-scheme)

Should a client be linked to an access package that is not supported by Periode & År, it is necessary to go into Altinn and link the client to one of the four available packages listed above.
