Guidance after validation
You will find a dedicated section titled Guidance after control located directly below the controls in the tax return. This section functions as a checklist that must be completed before submission is possible.
The Three Control Levels
The system categorizes messages into three levels. Your ability to submit the tax return depends on how you handle these:
| Level | Type | Description | Required Action |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Information | General guidance or tips. | Correct the issue or mark as read. |
| 2 | Notice | Potential discrepancies that should be checked. | Correct the issue or mark as read. |
| 3 | Actual Error | Critical errors that must be corrected. | Must be corrected. Cannot be marked as read. |
How to Handle the Guidance
To submit the tax return, all items in the new section must be addressed. If you have unhandled guidance, the submission will be blocked, and you will receive a notification when attempting to submit.
How to resolve a guidance item
- Correct the issue: Navigate to the relevant field in the tax return and correct the information. Once the error is rectified, the guidance message will disappear automatically.
- Mark as read: For the Information and Notice levels, you can confirm that you have reviewed the guidance without changing any figures. Mark the guidance as “read” in the list.
- Note: This option is not available for “Actual Errors”.
If you have unmarked guidance (Information/Notice) or unresolved error messages (Actual Error), the submission button will be disabled or trigger an error message. Ensure the list under Guidance after control is empty or fully checked before submitting.
