# Daily allowance Long distance transport drivers

We now support the specific rules for Long distance transport drivers in Norway and abroad.

**The most important changes in this update**
- **Automatic 24-hour rule** Allowances are calculated only for full 24-hour periods (e.g., 32 hours = 1 day).
- **Tax-free rate** Support for the standard rate of 400 NOK, with the option to set custom company rates.
- **Simplified entry** End users select Long distance transport drivers in the allowance dropdown. Meal deductions and night supplements are automatically hidden.

**Getting started** An administrator must enable the two new allowance types **Domestic – Long distance transport drivers** and **Abroad – Long distance transport drivers** under Settings > Types > Daily Allowance.
