Insert panel drag-and-drop

The Insert panel is located on the left side of the window.

ButtonsExplanation
HeaderThe button will display entered text at the top of every page. Formatting is available similarly to other text elements.
FooterThe button will display entered text at the bottom of every page. Formatting is available similarly to other text elements.
TextboxThe button will define a custom box area with the text input, and will display it with the set formats at the location specified. Can be used for comments input, attention lines, target values setting and so forth.
Picture boxThe button will display a line at the set coordinates, having the defined formats.
LineThe button will display a line at the set coordinates, having the defined formats.
PanelThe button will place a panel at the set location. Formatting is available in the Properties box.

  1. Inserting a picture box

    • Click on Picture Box
    • Drag it to the location in the work area where you want the picture to be placed
    • Drop the icon

  2. After you have done the desired changes to the report it can be published and made available for future use. Please refer to next section for guidelines how to do so.

  3. After selecting and placing the picture box, you can choose the type of picture to be added. From Properties - Source you can pick:

    • Embedded

    • Database or

    • Bar code

    • QR codes have been added to the list of supported bar codes. The following steps show how to add a QR code:

      1. Insert a picture box into the design area of the report
      2. From the Properties panel select Bar code as Source
      3. From Bar code type, select QR code
      4. Enter a value to be rendered into the code

  4. For Embedded type, a pop-up window will be displayed when the button from Value is clicked. From here you can upload the picture.

    1. Select location where the picture is stored

    2. Click Browse

    3. Click Open

    4. Click Upload Image:

      After an image is uploaded, a preview of it is displayed in the pop-up window. You can keep or remove it. Opening this pop-up window on a picture box that already has an embedded image, displays a preview of that image and also allows for it to be removed.

      The selected and confirmed picture will be added in the report and can be previewed by clicking the Preview tab:
