In the **Book ID** column, type a short name of the book. 1. In the **Description** column, type the description of the book. 1. If you want to make a posting book, select the **Update general ledger** check box. > [!NOTE] > You can select only one book for posting. 1. Select the mid-period type for the book. 1.
