In this window, a financial administrator can correct the account class and account type. The results of the correction are displayed in the [Chart of accounts (GL202500)](/visma-net-erp/help/general-ledger/general-ledger-windows/chart-of-accounts-gl202500/) window. Changes to account classes and types are always logged, so that you can see who has done the changes. Note: Other users must not enter transactions in the system while you edit the account type and validate the account history. Some posted batches might not be included in the account history, but they will be included when you run the validation again. ## The top part

Account The account you want to make changes to.
Current account class The current account class.

Current account type The current account type.

The account type you want to change to. There are four account types to choose from:

  • Asset
  • Liability
  • Income
  • Expense
Active If this check box is selected, the account is an active account. You cannot change the preference for this check box in this window.
