# Check the link between a cash account and a base account

> When you have performed the task described in Create a cash account, you need to ensure that the link between the new cash account and the base account in the Chart of accounts (GL202500) window is set up correctly.

1. Go to the [Chart of accounts (GL202500)](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/visma-net-erp/help/general-ledger/general-ledger-windows/chart-of-accounts-gl202500/index.md) window.
1. In the **Account** column, find the account that you used as a base to create your cash account.
1. In the **Cash Account** column, make sure that the check box is selected for that base account.
