# View and correct imported count data

If you see a  in the toolbar instead of the expected , the import process has failed. Do the following to review and correct the errors:
1. In the top right corner of the window, click **Help** and select **Trace**.
1. You can see that the errors are highlighted in the log.
1. Go to the original Excel spreadsheet and correct the errors.
1. Save the original spreadsheet.
