# Select your locale settings

> In Visma Net, you can specify your country settings, such as date, time, and number format (as described in this topic), so that correct data are applied when you create documents in the system.


1. Go to the [User settings (SM203010)](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/visma-net-erp/help/management/management-windows/user-settings-sm203010/index.md) window.
1. Click the **Custom** **local format** tab.
1. In the **Format** field, click ![icon-select](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/media/visma-net-erp/icon-select.jpg). The **Select - Format** dialog box is displayed.
1. Select the **Locale name** that you want to use for your user account. You can type the abbreviation for you country in the search field, or use the arrows at the bottom to change pages until you find what you are looking for. The system now fills in the parameters of the locale in the **Date and time formats** and **Number format** sections.
1. Optional: Change the settings in the **Date and time formats** and **Number format** sections.
1. Click **![icon-save](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/media/visma-net-erp/icon-save.png)**.
