Document templates (SM209020)

You can use the elements in this area to select an existing template for editing or create a new template.

The window toolbar

ButtonDescription
Save to clipboardPlaces the template on the clipboard so that you can paste it on the appropriate form.

The top part

ElementDescription
Template IDThe unique identifier of the template, which the system assigns automatically when you save the template for the first time.
Window IDThe window ID of the form used to create the template.
DescriptionA description of the template. An alphanumeric string of up to 30 characters can be used. This required description also serves as a template identifier.
GraphThe system graph associated with the form that was used to create the template.

The table

ColumnDescription
ActiveA check box that indicates to the system (if selected) that the field (that is, the user interface element) specified by the row will have no assigned value for this template. If on the form, the field gets a default value, this will occur once the template is used for a new document.
LineA read-only value.
ContainerThe area or tab of the form to which the field belongs.
ViewA read-only value. The view on the form this line belongs to.
TypeThe type of the internal object the field is related to.
FieldThe field in the area of the form specified as the container.
ValueThe value of the field to be used for the template.
Template IDThe ID of the document template.
