# Create rate lookup rules

1. Go to the [Rate lookup rules (PM205000)](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/visma-net-erp/help/project-accounting/project-accounting-windows/rate-lookup-rules-pm205000/index.md) window.
1. In the **Rate table** field, select the rate table you want to specify sequences for.
1. In the **Rate type** field, select the rate type you want to specify sequences for. You define these rate types in the [Rate types (PM204100)](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/visma-net-erp/help/project-accounting/project-accounting-windows/rate-types-pm204100/index.md) window.
1. For each planned sequence, do the following:
1. Review the reference numbers of sequences and adjust them if needed, keeping in mind that the numbers define the order in which the system will be applying the sequences to find the rate.
1. Click ![icon-save](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/media/visma-net-erp/icon-save.png).
1. If you plan to use the rate table with more than one rate type (that is, in more than one allocation step), repeat step 3 - 5 for each rate type.
