# Project attributes (PM202000)

> An attribute group is a collection of additional elements to gather and store information related to specific entity types: projects, tasks, or account groups.

This topic provides information about the elements in this window in Visma Net, such as fields, field values, buttons, and check boxes.

An attribute group is a collection of additional elements to gather
and store information related to specific entity types: projects, tasks, or account
groups.
If a group is defined for the entity type, the attributes will be displayed on the **Attributes** tab of the corresponding window, so that users can specify them when they create an entity of that type.

By using this window, you can create, view, modify, and delete attribute groups. To define the attributes, you use the [Attributes (CS205000)](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/visma-net-erp/help/common-settings/common-settings-windows/attributes-cs205000/index.md) window.

Only one group of attributes can be defined for each entity type used in the Projects workspace.

## The top part

In this area, you can select the entity type and then create, modify, or delete its attribute
group.

<table class="vismanet-table">
  <colgroup>
    <col class="vismanet-table__col--key">
    <col>
  </colgroup>
<thead class="vismanet-table__head">
  <tr class="vismanet-table__header-row">
<th class="vismanet-table__cell vismanet-table__cell--header">Element</th>
<th class="vismanet-table__cell vismanet-table__cell--header">Description</th>
</tr>
</thead>

<tr class="vismanet-table__row">
<td class="vismanet-table__cell">Name</td>
<td class="vismanet-table__cell"><p>The entity type for which you want to specify the attribute
group. The following options are available:</p>

<dd>The listed attributes will be added to the <a href="/visma-net-erp/help/project-accounting/project-accounting-windows/projects-pm301000/index.md">Projects (PM301000)</a> window.</dd>

## The table

In the table, you can create the list of attributes to be used for the specified entity type.

<table class="vismanet-table">
  <colgroup>
    <col class="vismanet-table__col--key">
    <col>
  </colgroup>
<thead class="vismanet-table__head">

<th class="vismanet-table__cell vismanet-table__cell--header">Column</th>
<th class="vismanet-table__cell vismanet-table__cell--header">Description</th>
</tr>
</thead>

<tr class="vismanet-table__row">
<td class="vismanet-table__cell">Active</td>
<td class="vismanet-table__cell"><p>A check box that indicates (if selected) that the attribute is available for all
records of a particular type.</p>
<p>You can deactivate an obsolete attribute by clearing the check box.</p>
</td>
</tr>

<tr class="vismanet-table__row">
<td class="vismanet-table__cell">Attribute ID</td>
<td class="vismanet-table__cell">The attribute ID.</td>
</tr>

<tr class="vismanet-table__row">
<td class="vismanet-table__cell">Description</td>
<td class="vismanet-table__cell">A read-only field showing the description that has been provided for the attribute.</td>
</tr>

<tr class="vismanet-table__row">
<td class="vismanet-table__cell">Sort order</td>
<td class="vismanet-table__cell">An integer that defines the position of the attribute in the list of attributes available for the entity type. You should specify <strong>1</strong> for the first attribute you want to be listed, <strong>2</strong> for the second, and so on.</td>
</tr>

<tr class="vismanet-table__row">
<td class="vismanet-table__cell">Required</td>
<td class="vismanet-table__cell">A check box that indicates (if selected) that the user must specify a value for this attribute in the appropriate data entry window.</td>
</tr>

<tr class="vismanet-table__row">
<td class="vismanet-table__cell">Control type</td>
