# Suspend asset depreciation

> You can suspend the depreciation of an active asset by using the Fixed assets (FA303000) window.

1. Go to the [Fixed assets (FA303000)](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/visma-net-erp/help/fixed-assets/fixed-asset-windows/fixed-assets-fa303000/index.md) window.
1. In the **Asset ID** field, select the fixed asset whose depreciation you want to suspend.
1. Click **Actions**, and then select **Suspend**.

    Alternatively, on the **Balance** tab, you can click **Suspend** in the table toolbar.

The depreciation of the selected asset is suspended starting from the current business date.
