# Create a customer class template

> Go to the Customer classes (AR201000) window. In the Class ID field, click to select the customer class you want to use as a template. Make any changes to the settings, to fit your new template. Click and from the drop-down list select Save as template…. If a separate window does not open, go to the Document templates (SM209020) window. In the Document templates (SM209020) window, enter a name for the template you have created, and click .


1. Go to the [Customer classes (AR201000)](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/visma-net-erp/help/customer-ledger/customer-ledger-windows/customer-classes-ar201000/index.md) window.
1. In the **Class ID** field, click ![icon-select](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/media/visma-net-erp/icon-select.jpg) to select the customer class you want to use as a template.
1. Make any changes to the settings, to fit your new template.
1. Click ![icon-clipboard-with-arrow](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/media/visma-net-erp/icon-clipboard-with-arrow.png) and from the drop-down list select **Save as template...**.
1. If a separate window does not open, go to the [Document templates (SM209020)](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/visma-net-erp/help/management/management-windows/document-templates-sm209020/index.md) window.
1. In the [Document templates (SM209020)](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/visma-net-erp/help/management/management-windows/document-templates-sm209020/index.md) window, enter a name for the template you have created, and click ![icon-save](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/media/visma-net-erp/icon-save.png).
