# Set a customer class as default

> Go to the Customer classes (AR201000) window. You are here: The General information tab. Find the area Data entry. In the Default customer class ID field, click to select the customer class you want to use as default. If you need to make changes to the default customer class, click . In the Customer classes (AR201000) window, make your changes and click Save and close. Click .

1. You are here: The **General information** tab.
1. Find the area Data entry.
1. In the **Default customer class ID** field, click ![icon-select](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/media/visma-net-erp/icon-select.jpg) to select the customer class you want to use as default.
1. If you need to make changes to the default customer class, click ![icon-edit](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/media/visma-net-erp/icon-edit.png).
1. In the [Customer classes (AR201000)](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/visma-net-erp/help/customer-ledger/customer-ledger-windows/customer-classes-ar201000/index.md) window, make your changes and click **Save and close**.
1. Click ![icon-save](https://docs.vismasoftware.no/media/visma-net-erp/icon-save.png).
